Principles of effective communication are very important when preparing to do a speech or a presentation.

They are something that everyone should consider due to effective communication being a skill that will be used at some point in their life.
There will be times when people may need to make a speech in front a group of people as well as when being interviewed by another.

If used properly, this could have a big impact on the impression of the audience in which the speech is given to as it could increase or decrease chances of getting a positive reaction depending on the way it is used.
Examples of this would be giving a presentation to a fairly big audience and expecting a positive reaction.
