Understanding of speech - this is when someone speaks or explain about something and you don't understand it or have no clue about what they are saying to you or explaining to you.
This is because you could be that you not listening to that person properly and busy talking with someone who is next to you. It might be that you don't understand the some of the hard words that the person used or you might finding the speech too boring and you don't want to listen anymore.
To solve this problem of understanding of speech you have to concentrate more on what the person actually saying or trying to explain to you. If you don't understand something, wait until the person finishes with the speech or go to them later for more explanation and some certain areas that you need more details for.
